The Anybus Wireless Bolt PoE allows you to connect industrial devices to a wireless network (WLAN). It is mounted on a control cabinet or machine to provide wireless access. Wireless transmission takes place via Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, or WLAN (WiFi) technology.
The Wireless Bolt is IP65-rated and has a maximum range of 100 meters. It can communicate with devices via Ethernet, serial (RS232/485), or CAN. Regardless of the communication method, the same connector (2x9 pin; 3.5 mm connector) is used for power and communication.
Bluetooth or WLAN?
All versions of the Wireless Bolt support wireless communication via Bluetooth / Bluetooth Low Energy or WLAN (Wifi).
Choice: If data volume is most important, choose WLAN. If connection robustness/stability is most important, choose Bluetooth.
Anybus Wireless Bolt - Ethernet
On the wired side, the Anybus Wireless Bolt communicates over Industrial Ethernet, supporting protocols such as BACnet/IP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and TCP/IP, and UDP.
CONFIGURE MACHINES WIRELESSLY!
The Anybus Wireless Bolt gives you direct access to configure or troubleshoot your machine fleet. With a range of 100 meters, you can view internal web pages from a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) means you no longer need an expensive HMI. A machine operator or technician doesn't have to physically go to a device to access it.
An all-in-one solution!
With Anybus Wireless Bolt, you get an all-in-one package with a connector, communication processor, and integrated antenna in the same IP67-rated housing. Regardless of the communication method you choose, you have the same connector (2x9p Plug Connector) for power and communication.
